The operations department handle all aspects of event management, from pre-event delegate liaison, reporting & budgeting, on-site event logistics, exhibition management and supplier negotiation. The smooth running of an event depends on operations management and all delegates, sponsors and exhibitors rely on rapid and accurate information updates during the event lifecycle. The operations team are also responsible for office management and environment, along with staff culture and development. Job tasks include: assisting with logistical enquiries, liaising with suppliers, monitoring event budget, creating event materials, on-site management of event, office management.

I joined Oxford Global as an Events Assistant, and have progressed over the years to my current position as Operations & Events Manager. Oxford Global has given me the opportunity to discover new skills and use them to create my own career path in the events industry.

The sponsorship sales department actively sell business opportunities to solution/service providers in the pharmaceutical industry.  Sponsorship executives should have the proven ability to lead source, pitch and negotiate with key decision makers, overcome objections and close deals in the shortest time possible. Applicants would be expected to show proven results from previous employment or a strong desire to succeed in a sales environment and should be able to network and client manage effectively. Meritorious communication skills are essential. Job tasks include: Selling event sponsorship opportunities to solution provider companies worldwide, networking on the phone and account managing existing sponsors, writing proposals and persuasive invitations.

The Marketing Team is responsible for the company brand, publicizing our image, selling products and running promotions on various media platforms. Using promotional and branding strategies, we optimize corporate communications, nurture client relationships, increase and advertise content collateral, and manage products/services. Job tasks include: Social Media Strategy, Emailing Campaign, Media Partners & Collaboration, SEO & Website Strategy, Design & Branding and Metrics & Data Analysis.

The Production department develop commercially viable conference programmes for each of our events. Extensive market research is undertaken with senior level representatives from Global corporations and industry forums in the life sciences sector to create cutting edge, relevant programmes. Conference Producers are responsible for recruiting speakers, writing conference agendas and briefing sales and marketing teams on new products.

The Editorial department create all outward facing content for our web visitors, members and customers, with readability, grammatical excellence and delivery of insight all key parts of each article. Content ranges from interpretations of presentations and interviews, through to insight and commentary articles covering the spectrum of life science research.

The graphic design team develop the visual identity and branding for Oxford Global, ensuring that all materials are created to a high standard. This covers a wide variety of documents, including conference brochures, documents for sponsorship team and collateral used in marketing campaigns. A creative and detail-orientated approach is vital for this role.

We offer a variety of placement opportunities to students looking for work experience as part of their degree, or just to help their own personal development.
